1989 Ford F150 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Manual
i've been working on this truck for a couple weeks (new air filter, replaced altinator, changed oil, etc.) and everything seemed fine. all i had left to do was body work. but today i went to drive it around a little because it had been sitting for a week, and it had trouble starting at first but got going. after i started driving it for about 5 minutes, it started to back fire and it quit on me. so i figured the year old gas that had been in it was finally used up. i then put about 5-6 gallons of gas into it and after that it just wouldnt start. i made sure it wasnt the battery or the altinator so i'm assuming the problem is the starter or the spark plugs. i'm not sure what to do if it is the starter, i dont know what it looks like or what to do with it.
by the way, the feul pump does work and it is a manual tansmission
