1988 F150 manual trans very easy to start but very hard to drive when cold. Engines hesitates, jerks, and usually dies. Very hard to restart when this happens, with long cranking time. Smell gas in cabin when this happens. No problem at all after it restart. No power loss. New spark plugs, cap, rotor and fuel filter. Problem happens only twice a day, once in the morning and once after I get off work, when engine is cold. It is not too cold in Seattle.
