1988 Ford F-150 4X4 5.0 motor

I just bought it.
seems to idle up and down. Also when driving if I get into it, it bogs down and the check engine light comes on.
I think it is the map senser but dont know for sure.

Go to autozone and have the codes read. Then post the codes here so we can see what's going on.

Most likely is the map sensor. It has been a while since I had this problem, but I believe that when you disconnect and plug the vaccuum line to it, the idleing smooths out and this would signify that it is bad.
