hello all,

first time here... i have a 92 ford explorer that's been sitting for almost a year. I'm just trying to get an idea of what it will need (besides a new battery) to be up and running. not a car expert, obviously, so i'm just trying to get an idea of anything that might need to be replaced. what goes wrong with vehicles when they've been sitting for so long?
i'll appreciate any responses to my question. thanks!

the things those idiots forgot to mention was that you may have rust in your radiator so buy a flush and fill kit and use it to clean your radiator

was the car sitting on grass or cement? after doing all the other stuff mentioned, if it still doesn't start, check all your ground wires and all your relays/wire connectors. I had a car parked for about a year on grass, and it started up fine. A week later, it wouldn't fire. turned out to be a corroded relay next to the fan.
