I just bought a used 2004 exlorer limited. The RSS does not seem to work. When it put the truck in reverse, the OFF light just comes on. Any ideas on this? Also, my seat heaters seem to go warm and cold sporatically. Wondering why and how to fix. Thanks.

The seats could be a bad connection since it comes and goes. Do you know if the pass seat does the same thing? Check fuse 11 behind the d/s of the dash for any corrosion on the fuse blades. Also check th econnectors undr the seats for water contamination/ corrosion in the connectors. If both seats do it, might be the Electronis Automatic Temperature Control Module (EATC). It is located behind center of dash. Also I cant seem to find "RSS" in any of my abbreviations, what exactly is that? Too many to remember
