2003 Ford Explorer V6 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 68,000 miles

I have an 03 Explorer XLT with 68,000+ miles. A couple of weeks ago the brakes starting grinding a little. ABS light came on after driving awhile in excess of 45mph. Making a definite grinding noise in left front wheel area when ABS comes on. Had rotors in front and all 4 pads replaced. Also got 2 new front tires, ball joints, had it aligned. Mechanic not sure what is going on. Ran through diagnostic machine, nothing came. Says doesn't think it's the wheel bearings or speed sensors. Any suggestions? Already dropped quite a bit of money for 4 year old vehicle.

I have the same issue with my 01 Explorer. I've replaced the hub, rotors, brakes, & CV axles on both sides as well as rotated and balanced the tires. I am replacing the two front tires today to see if it may be tire noise. My sound is an out of balance sound accompanied by a grinding squeal from the left side. If feel you pain cause this is kicking my ass and wallet.
