Transmission problem
2003 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i need my transmission rebuilt and don't have the funds to pay someone to do it.I am mechanically inclined and have a shop with tools and a lift but never had to rebuild a transmission. Can you tell me, in detail, what to do?

Hi:
First, they are not as hard to rebuild as you would think, so you should be able to do it. Second, purchase a repair manual that provides step by step instructions and exploded views. For me to try to explain step by step allows too much room for error.
