When I put the gas on while driving the car will go putt putt, like it isn't getting the gas to keep going. If I don't hit the gas the car runs great. Can you help?

HAs the check engine light come on? If not, when was the last tune up with a fuel filter? Also, I recommend checking fuel pump pressure and checking for vacuum leaks. Here is a how to for checking fuel pressure. You will need a pressure gauge. Most parts stores will lend or rent them to you.

Let me know what you find, and if I don't hear from you within a couple days, happy holidays.
