What type of oil should I be putting in my Ford Explorer Sport. All of a sudden, it is over heating and I noticed the oil was almost 2 qts. Low ( I had the oil changed about 2,5000 miles ago). Previous to this, the vehicle has never used alot of oil between oil changes.

If vehicle is overheating and losing oil then it would be a good indication of a failed head gasket. Low oil level will not cause overheating. Oil mixing into the coolant system WILL cause overheating and also loss of oil.
