Without warning the car just stopped going in reverse. All other gears work fine. There is fluid. Could we be in need of a transmission with only 68000 miles? Until it is fixed is it safe to drive or will it just stop in 1st?

How do you check code? I was told to rebuild the tranny, by the repair shop. How can I be sure he has checked the code? Thanks

Rebuilt tranny would be the best way to go
need an OBDII reader to check for codes
most local part store have it some will let you use it to check your codes
