1998 Ford Explorer clicking noise in front left

1998 Ford Explorer V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic 128k miles

I have a clicking noise in my front left side when driving and sometimes turning. I have pulled the brake caliper and found nothing wrong. The pads are new, no leaks or wear that i can see

A clicking usually indicates a bad CV joint. check that and let me know what you find.

Thanks for your response. The clicking noise turned out to be the spline on the front drive shaft.
