1998 Ford Explorer Car Runs Rough When Cold

It starts up then the rpm's comes down like it thinks it's already warmed up. You have to manually work the gas until it warms up, then it runs fine.

I have already replaced the idle control valve.

I run fuel system cleaner through it and have a K & N air filter.

I have thouroughly cleaned the filter and intake.

I have replaced the temp sensor to the computer,

I had a code for bank 2 oxygen sensor and replaced it.

Hi ottwsr,

You have done all the preliminaries and the only suggestion I have which could cause the problem is vacumn leaks.

The symptom is consistent with insufficient valve clearance but being hydraulically controlled valve clearance, it should not be the cause. I would suggest testing for valve leakage.
