1997 Ford Explorer Emgine smell

There is a smell, which to me smells like burnt coolant, after driving the vehicle. I do have to add coolant almost once a month. Besides the smell the car runs great. Any thoughts on the smell? Thanks.

the smell is from the outside. especially in the front of the car when i walk by it after driving.
