How many O2 sensors are on a 1996 xlt 4wd ford explorer?

Can the average home mechanic change it / them?

Any special tools required?

Thanks

I have 1996 2WD Explorer with three O2 sensors and would believe the 4WD model is same...O2 sensors are very easy to replace without any special tools. a few bolts and plug-in electrical connectors. just be sure to put the proper sensor in correct bank.
