I KNOW THIS CODE INVOLVES THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. I HAD MY WHOLE MUFFLER REPLACED JUST A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. DO I REALLY HAVE TO REPLACE IT?

Sounds like the exhaust manifold may have a leak. However it could be the cat too. Im pretty sure you wont need to replace the whole exhaust system, mostlikely just the Cat.
