Hello, I just replaced the fuel pump (entire assembly) and now my gas gauge is stuck past full. I would like to prevent pulling the tank again so I'm hoping there are some things I can check before that. The new assembly I put in is a direct Ford replacement (sending unit, pump, float, etc.). Thank you in advance for your answers!

It sounds like the float was jammed in the upright position or when you replaced the wiring, something jammed or shorted. I hate to say it, but I feel the tank needs to come back out.

Thank you. I found some simple things online that I'll check first with the wiring to see if it's shorted, but I guess if it's gotta come off I'll suck it up. Thanks again.
