1994 Ford Explorer

The heater just stopped blowing out hot air only cold. The temp gauge went up, it was low on water so we added water and anti freeze. I will start the truck and let it run for awhile the temp gauge goes to the middle but still not heat. I thought maybe it could be thermostat. Can you help me

Yes it could be the thermostat. Check or replace thermostat first. Let me know how it goes?
