To restart the fuel shutoff button has to be reset, does this just mean the reset bytton has to be replaced or are there sensors in other places that could be the culprit. It happened first a week ago and now happens intermittently after shutdown?

Do you smell gas? This switch is designed to shut fuel off after a crash, when leaks could be a concern. If no fuel leaks, replace the switch.

One question first, is the button down? if so test it for resistance, if no resistance it's good...But if it keeps popping change it out...
