Engine Performance problem
1992 Ford Explorer Two Wheel Drive Automatic 95,000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hello-

My car worked fine and then the next day it wouldn't keep a charge (battery). Could it be something in the fuse box? I noticed that a few seems to be missing. Or could a wire be loose? I have a feeling my son may have messed around with it, because he says, pretty sure of himself that its the alternator and he is not a mechanic.

Any help would be great!

Get the alternator and battery load tested this will tell who's the troublemaker and then comeback-could also be a short somewhere in the electrical system draining the battery and your son thinks its coming from the alternator-
