Hello, my question is about the gears I want to put in my truck. I have a 2000 Ford expedition with about 25,000 miles on the motor and a 3" lift, 4.6L V8, 4X4, with 36X12.50X16.5 underneath her. The original gears are 3.55 and I think I need to go to a 4.56 to get the truck running closer to its original potential. I'm not sure what to buy or anything. I am going to muscle through the work anyways. I just wanted to know what all should I get. They sell just a ring and pinon, but do I need that or do I need a full kit, and do I have to do both the front and rear. I'm going crazy please help me out. Thanks

Unless someone else jumps in to answer I think you need to find a 4x4 forum where you could talk with other people who may have upgraded their Expeditions or Ford trucks . This forum is more for fixing vehicles, not upgrading 4x4's. Try Pirate4x4.com. Or google 4x4 forums.
