is there any other way to remove a spark plug with a stripped bolt without taking out the motor. What is the average cost for a job like this?

Do you mean the shoulders of the spark plug is rounded and you can't secure it with a socket to remove it?

is the spark plug rounded messesd up?use a smaller socket and hammer a little bit on to the plug then then turn to remove it might work.if not take it to a shop they will remove it im sure.possible that you might be able to buy a socket specially for that kind of trouble chek pepboys and other autoparts stores.goodluck
