i have a 1997 ford expidition the problem im having is every time i turn my running or headlights on my engine sputters n dies and my mph climb in park turn them off and i can fire it right back up also when i turn them on without the key in theres a clicking noise from under the dash when i turn my heat on it iluminates the blinker icons by the speedometer im losing it nobody can give me a straight ansewer?PLEASE HELP

Wow!!! I think you need a priest not a mechanic (lol). Honestly, there is a ground problem. Electric takes the easiest way out. WHen you turn the fan on and the signal lights come on, that tells me for the fan to find a ground, it has to go through the signals; thus, they turn on. As far as the headlights, you're taking ground away from the ignition or fuel pump. First, I want you to check out where the clicking is coming from. Also, check for broken, damaged, or rusted loose ground straps on the body of the vehicle and under the dash. Finally, make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight and the ground that goes from the battery to the engine block is clean, tight, and the cable isn't damaged.
