The engine in my suv is misfiring. I tried putting injection cleaner in the fuel and that changed nothing. The engine light came on about 6 months ago, so I gave it a tuneup and had the codes reset. The truck run good til about 3 weeks ago and the same problem arose once again. Misfiring and the engine light is back on, also the more I excelarate the worse it gets. The code that comes up eveytime is #4 cyclinder misfiring or dead. Is this an injector going bad? Can you please help me as to how to fix this problem.

Change your plugs and wires with a different cylilnder, if the problem moves with it replace the plugs and wires, if not try swapping injectors if problem moves replace the injector if not check compression on the cylinder. Should be no more then 25% less than the highest cylinder.

You posted it as a V8. Is it the 5.4 or the 4.6? The 4.6 had plug wires, but the 5.4 has coil-on-plug design. It is not uncommon for a coil or two to go bad. If it is a 5.4 also check for a slight antifreeze leak at the heater core hoses on the fire wall. Sometimes they leak and they are positioned directly over top of cyl #4. The leak causes the coil to burn out.
