I'v e changed the bulbs and they are still out. The ones on the trunk are out but the back up light which is attached to the same wire housing is working. The side parking light/signal light is working.

hello, is it the main lights at the back or is it the brake lights? its just i had lost my brake lights and it turned out to be the brake light switch which is connected to the brake pedal. i did also hear that if these switches go they can sometimes cause other problems with the electrics but im not sure if that is true so worth checking anyway. good luck.
