Ford Escort jerks at slow speeds
I just had my transmission rebuilt, new fuel filter, fuel pump, spark plug and wires on my Ford Escort 98. My car jerks around 25 to 30 mphs when I am high speeds my car is running just find.

Does the car shift OK through the gears??

Escort is find when i shift ok in gears, but when i speed up and increase the rpms at about 30 mph my car does a jerk.

Tell me exactly what speed you shift gears and what speed you normally drive in 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Well my car is automatic, and I'm driving in the normal d (drive). But when I drive in low speeds and I accelrate to about 30mphs my car does a jerk. The jerk goes away but come backs every once in a while.

You need to take it back and have it checked. The jerk may be in the valve body of the tranny. Good luck
