2001 Ford Escort ZX2, 40,000 mi.
Cranks but doesn't start, code says new coil pack, but SIX coil packs later, still won't start. Is there something "burning out" coil packs. When new one is installed, starts once, dies, never starts again and re-displays bad coil pack code. Have gotten car to run for a few months on a coil pack from old Explorer, but all new ones are useless. Must be something burning them out?
