I have a 1995 Ford Escort. It is a 1.9L and has a 130,000 miles. About a month ago the water pump went out on the way home from work. I replaced the water pump and started to hear purging sounds from the radiator so I replaced the thermostat. After the thermostat was replaced & noticed the radiator was leaking so I repaced that also. Now when the car is cold & is started I have bubbles coming from the coolant resivore. Is the head gasket or something else.

Either a head gasket and/or a cylinder head. The bubbles you see are exhaust gases being pushed from the combustion chamber into the cooling system, probably why the radiator went bad.
