For a while now my car would not pull out of park, also my brake lights don't work. I suspected that the two where somehow related. However I got the parking problem fixed and it was an actuator not engaging, or at least that is what the shop said. I still think that these two things are related but now my car pulls out of park and my brake lights still don't work, neither do my turn signals in the rear. The shop was going to check and see why my lights don't work but didn't. What are the possible problems and is it something that I could fix myself? With research I fond that it could be the brake light switch but I can't find it on my car.

They may have been releated but since the vehicle disengages from park I dont think so, does the vehicle disengage from part with the brake un touched or only wiht it applied? If it disengages from park with the brake down then I would suspect the switch is good, seeing it is sensing the pedal being pushed down. It may be a dualy functioning one though, one for the parking brake and one for the brake lights, so I would check the switch, and the turn signal switch/hazard switch.
