My car, Junior, has run great since I bought him in '01. I change the oil every 3-4,000 miles. He was just inspected and passed with flying colors. This morning Junior greeted me with his "Service Engine Soon" light for a change. The only symptoms I noticed were a slight decrease in power and a minor intermittent sputtering/fluttering. These are actually relatively normal for Junior. He just does that every once in a while. But they are never persistent or accompanied by the dreaded "Service Engine Soon" light. Thoughts? Ideas?

Take Junior to a local auto part store and ask them to scan your vehicle for trouble codes. Post the code(s) you retrieve here and we can diagnose the problem much easier as the code will pinpoint the area of concern.
