My previous post was: My car will not start. With the key in the on position (before trying to start), no electrical components will come on. The interior light will not light up, the clock won't come on, the headlights, etc. The only thing lit up is the "check engine" light. When trying to start, there are no sounds at all. Battery tested good and I know that the starter is in good working condition. I cannot find any information on what else could be the cause. Any ideas?

rasmataz suggested that maybe an anti-theft device is locking up the engine. To my knowledge the car does not contain an anti-theft system such as this. I'm assuming that is a more advanced system, and I doubt that my car is equipped with one. Are there any other things? Could the battery cables be causing this, or maybe some sort of relay? A short somewhere?

Sounds to me you have a loss of power going into the cabin or at the switch itself. If your headlamps are not comming on and radio it has to be a power loss. If you like I will send you a pdf of the system. Pdf not allowed here must send by email.
