1998 Ford Escort ZX2, 160,000 miles.
When I first get in the car in the mornings I have to keep trying to crank the car its like its turning over but will not crank. On most days it will eventually crank but some days it will run the battery dead trying.
Once the car does crank it will sputter and try to die the hole time I back out of my driveway, when it does die it cranks right back up with ease. While moving and the rpms are up it runs perfect, but once I stop at a light or sign it will again try to die.
I have replaced plugs and plug wires, my family keeps telling me different things it could be including; IAC valve, oxygen sensor, fuel pump, etc.
If someone could tell my with confidence what it is I would seriously appreciate it and would become a regular member of this site, often times donating along with my questions.
