Hi there,

This is very simple, remove wheel, undo tie rod lock nut, remove split pin and nut, remove tie rod end from steering arm (normally a removal tool is used to do this) unwind the tie rod off the steering rod, counting the turns so to re fit the new one as close a possible to the original position. To re fit reverse procedure, using new split pins, and a wheel alignment check should be done as well.
1/2 Hr to fit Tie rod
About $70 for a tie rod, this will vary depending on brand, and an alignment.

This is for the outer tie rod, this is the most common one to fail, allow about 1.5 Hrs to do an inner and about $80. For an inner end + alignment
