Smells problem
1997 Ford Escort Engine Size unknown Two Wheel Drive Automatic 120000 miles

Yesterday my diesel 55 Ford Escort van started really smelling badly of burning rubber, I experienced a loss of power even with the excellorator down to the floor, when I reached my destination smoke was pouring out of the left front wheel trims and was extremely hot.
I would appreciate it if you could tell me the cause and will it be expensive to repair?
