Electrical problem
1997 Ford Escort 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual
----------------------------------------------------------------
ok, i am not sure when this happened, pretty sure it was today as this morning i didnt notice anything wrong when driving to work

so, all lights seems to function save the brake lights...
the two on the outside are CONSTANTLY on and the window brake doesn't turn on either (when braking). So , essentially there is no response at all from the brake pedal to the lights. The two main lights stay on (even with the car turned off) and the 3rd brake light is always off.

I am not sure how to troubleshoot this.....any ideas?
thanks!

Check the brake switch on the brake pedal support either it needs adjustment or replacement. Also could be the electronic flasher it has to go thru here to get to the lights on the back on another constant power source.
