Your problem is most likely a problem with the power door lock actuator, the style used in these vehicles will bind and work to lock but not unlock, or vice versa. Occasionaly you can lube the threaded rod located on the top of the actuator (under the rubber protective cover) use a silicone type of spray.

First you need to remove the door panel the actuator should be located under the latch assy, it will have a 2 wire connector and will be attatched to the latch with a rod, be careful when moving things around, the rods are attatched with plastic clips which will be brittle on a car that old. Once you locate the actuator pull up the rubber sheild, spray the lubricant on the threaded rod under it if possible lock and unlock the door while spraying to dispurse it into the threads. Good luck, take your time.
