My engine overheated because of a slow leak in a radiator hose that I didn't catch. I was driving when I noticed the air conditioner stopped cooling, looked at the temperature was at the High level. Got that repaired and the car seemed undamaged. Four days later the check engine light came on, but the car still ran fine. Five days after that (today) I started the car and it's making a grinding noise that just comes in bursts every 10-20 seconds. The noise sounds sort of like when you try to start the car when it's already running, that grinding starter noise, only it's not that. And it only lasts about half a second. Any ideas?
