Sometimes when I slow down to a stop my car will start to choke and then stall out at a complete stop. If I tact it out it wont do it for a while. One time the OD light came on and flashed but i just turned off my car and turned it back on and it went away. The dealership told me it was the converter and a mechanic told me it was the cat converter...i dont know the difference...any imput would be helpful

Thanks

Failed Catalytic Converter

The only way to figure it out is get an exhaust gas analysis before and after the catalytic converter won't do you no good replacing it if the cause is not identified.
