Remove the third, fourth and fifth bench seats, (if equipped).
Remove the left center bolster, left lower front, and left rear lower and upper trim panels (if equipped).
Remove the core cover mounting screws.
Clamp off the hoses to prevent spilling coolant when the core is removed or, partially drain the engine coolant from the cooling system.

CAUTION
When draining the coolant, keep in mind that cats and dogs are attracted by ethylene glycol antifreeze, and are quite likely to drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground. This will prove fatal in sufficient quantity. Always drain the coolant into a sealable container. Coolant should be reused unless it is contaminated or several years old.

Remove the hose clamps and disconnect the hoses from the core.
Remove the core and seal.

To install:

Install the core and seal.
Connect the hoses and remove the clamps.
Install the core cover and retainers.
Fill the cooling system. Disconnect the heater outlet hose at the water pump until coolant begins to escape and this will bleed the system.
Install the trim panels.
Install the seats.
