I am the original owner of this ford E-250 van and have it regularly serviced. Recently after a left rear tire blowout I road on the rim for several miles until it was safe to put the spare tire on. Van rode fine for next 100 or so miles. Had two new heavy load range tires put on rear of van. As soon as I got back on the road for an out of town trip the van had the sensation of slipping on ice(I live in Miami). It felt like it started in the rear and moved the front end as well. I could barely keep in my lane at any but the slowest of speeds. I do carry a heavy load but have always done so. Its almost like a fishtailing feeling but more like floating or slipping on ice. My mechanic replaced both front and rear shocks but feeling is still there. Would front end alignment help? Any other possibilities? Thanks, da

Hi Da,

Thank you for the donation.

Did you replace the Rim that had the blowout? If not could be damaged from running on it so long. Would put spare back on an drive if problem is gone replace rim.

Some other possibilities for vehicle that pulls to left or right.

Front Brake Caliper Locked up - Do you smell anything burning. One thing you can do is jack up the vehicle enough to get wheels off ground and spin the wheels if they spin freely and without noise then all should be good with calipers and wheel bearings.

Rear Wheel Cylinder Locked up - do same as front.

Sway Bar broken or damaged. Most likely with the Fishtail and floating description.

Bad Tie Rod ends.
