1993 Ford E-Series Van Do I need a new alternator?

I was driving my van down the road, I had the radio on and lights on. The radio began to fade in and out and the lights flickered and then the car died. The engine would not even turn over after I tried to jump it. Are these symptoms I need a new alternator?

First of all thank you so much for your donation. It sound's like a alternator but first we need to have your battery charged and tested. Then put it back in if it's good and check and make sure your battery cable's are clean and tight. Then start the engine and see what the voltage reading at the battery is with it idling.
