I have a 1985 Ford Van with a 351. The van starts, but when I come to a stop it dies. I have to restart it and rev the engine a little and drop it in gear to get it to move. Once its moving, it's fine. I have had the carberator worked on once and replaced once to no avail. Any idea what it could be?

Replace the vacuum lines...23 yrs.

What kind of answer is this-

Test the EGR valve and its solenoids if okay-check the idle speed motor/throttle position sensor. Also try adjusting the curb idle by using the Carbuerator idle speed screw.
