I have a 1997 Ford Crown Victoria with 154,000 miles and when I try to crank up the car all I hear is a click sound, Also if I try to crank up the car with the headlights on they go about half way deam. I just brought the battery about 6 months ago and I don't know whats the problem could it be the alternator or the starter or (someone told me) it could be the battery relay?

the battery is dead , it would need to be charged on a charger and checked , once its checked , then you can check other charging system components , but the battery needs to be at 12 volts first, so start there , checking the battery after a jumpstart does not count as charging ,

thanks
