I have a 1998 ford crown Victoria lx w/ 70,000 miles and some reason the key will not open the trunk. All the electrical opening systems work, but I would also like to open my trunk via key. Please help.

The lock cylinder may need lubricated. Spray WD40 into trunk's lock cylinder and work it in with key.

That didn't work. I'm pretty sure all the mechanics are fine. Is it possible that the trunk has a different lock?

Yes it could use a different key, I was under the impression you had owned the vehicle awhile though. Only a locksmith could tell if it's a different key used or not though.
