The car I just bought runs great except in the morning it sprays a little water and white smoke out of the exhaust, it smells like gas. After driving it's ok for the rest of the day?

Hi there,

The engine dose create a large amount of water in the exhaust, this is often see on cold start up it will drip as the exhaust temp is cold and the water vapor condenses back into a liquid, with the engine hot you don't see it, I wold make sure that the coolant level is constant and make sure that the thermostat is working, replace it if unsure, start here.

Hi there,

If you are loosing coolant you may be looking at a blown head gasket or a cracked cylinder head, you can have a test to check for exhaust gasses in the cooling system, this will be conclusive proof that you have a problem.
