Battery light on Ford Contour

I have a 1995 ford contour automatic 261,000 miles the battery light comes on replaced alternater replaced battery the light continues to come on after startup any suggestions

Make sure all cables are clean and tight.

I have seen many reman alternater bad from the getgo, make sure it is supplying adequete juice. It may be a defect.
