I have recently noticed in the past week that my car jerks forward. I have described it as a pulling motion. The car will do this 3 to 5 times and then return to normal. It does not do this everytime I drive it but it is doing this more frequently as the days go by. I have asked people to drive it but of course the car is always fine when someone else drives it. There is no particular speed that this is occuring in. It is very random. Is this a transmission problem? Hope you can help.

Hi Denise,

Hard to say for me what is going on. I'm more inclined to think it's a performance issue than transmission, but I would need to drive it to appreciate it.

IS there a check engine light on at all?

Can you have the codes read in the computer?

How old are the spark plugs or fuel filter?
