Transmission problem
2000 Ford Contour 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic
When I drive my car it jumps from gear to gear. I could be doing 60 mph, and it will jump in first and then jumps back. It want stay in the right gear that is suppose to be in. Sometimes it will run fine and then it starts to jump gears. It has done this for almost 8 months now and I can't find out what it is. The person I am buying the car from said it is the transmission it self. But, if it was it would have already quite. But, it still goes. Somebody said it could be a sensor but I would like to find out for sure. Thank You.
