Ok I have posted a question here before and recieved a reply back which I am grateful for. My car is doing the same thing it was before. I am driving down the road it will tack from 2 to 3 sometimes higher rpm and jerk like its changing gears then the rpm is back down to 2 this keeps up the whole time im driving on n off . It is worse now than before but Its not constant. I have had the fuel filter changed and teh problem got alot less for the next week after that, its back to normal just as bad as before I had it replaced. I am at a loss for reasons why its happening could it be teh transmission filter?
I am scared as soometimes when it jerks or changes gears when it tacks higher its a really hard jerk, feels like it will break any answers you guys.

Hey brigmis,

When was your last tranny service? Check the fluid what does it look like? If it is brownish looking then it is most likey burnt and needs changed. It will also smell burnt so check it out and let us know.

Hi Misty,

Sorry for delay in getting back to you. Had some puter problems.

Anyway, if it hasn't had a tranny service and it has 126+ miles on it, it wouldn't hurt to get the fluid and filter changed. If your dad feel he can do it it is not that difficult to do and can walk him through it.

Also, is your check engine light on? If so go by your local auto zone and have them pull codes and post them here.

Mark
