My car stalls while driving. It appears to not get enough gas but when I press on the gas peddle it almost chokes the car versus accelerating. I have had no previous problem similar to this. However, while I was out driving yesterday morning I encountered this hesitatiing problem. I was attempting to move forwared after stopping from a Signal Lignt. The car acted very sluggish and did not respond to my pressing the gas pedal. It was like someone was choking my car. It would barely go. However, I was able to drive for another 2 miles to my house. This morning I checked the transmissiion fluid and it is fine. My car has an automatic transmission. the gears shift fine. I just don't have any power when I try to go forward.

This could be caused by a couple things. First, have you checked fuel pump pressure? Has the filter ever been replaced? Also, are there any strange noises coming from the exhaust that may indicate a partially plugged catalytic converter? Finally, has the check engine light ever come on?

Let me know.
