My husband and I recently took our car to the mechanic and he said the oxygen sensor is bad. My husband found one online to purchase under $70.00. Do we have to have a mechanic replace the sensor or can my husband replace this himself?
I really would hope that my husband could replace it because the mechanic would charge too much for labor!

You will need an oxygen sensor socket to replace it.

The shop charges too much to do it because it costs too much to stay in business.

Everything is too expensive these days. Can I purchase a socket like that at an auto parts store?

You are soooo right. Yes you should be able to, the place on line the sells the sensors may also have one.

At least this didn't cost too much.
